Costa Coffee Now Accepts GCash Scan to Pay
Public Company Information:
Costa Coffee is the latest partner of GCash for its scan to pay service that can be used to purchase goods and services without the need to carry cash. GCash is an electronic mobile money service being operated by Mynt, a fintech company owned by Globe Telecom, Ant Financial, and Ayala Corporation.
To use GCash Scan to Pay, a customer with an iPhone or an Android smartphone may download or update to the latest version of the GCash App, register an account, and fund the GCash wallet at any of over 15,000 GCash Partner Outlets nationwide. Once done, the customer only has to tap on Scan QR, point a phone's camera at the partner's QR code, and pay.
“Costa Coffee is thankful for this partnership with GCash as it would enable a hassle-free payment for our customers. Imagine if our customers will simply scan the GCash QR at our counters, input the amount to be paid and proceed to pick up their drink? They will not have to wait for their change and stay in line for long,” said Costa Coffee Philippines General Manager Faith Gokongwei-Lim.
“Filipinos love coffee and pastries, and our partnership with Costa Coffee will further enhance this coffee experience through Scan-to-Pay technology which makes payment more convenient and the exciting promos we will have for everyone,” said Anthony Thomas, President and CEO of Mynt.
Costa Coffee, UK's favorite coffee shop, was brought by Robinsons Retail Holdings in the Philippines. With over 3,300 coffee shops in 31 markets, it is the second largest coffee shop operator in the world. Costa Coffee is best known for their espresso-based coffee using their signature Mocha Italia blend and their famous Flat White.
