Globe myBusiness Senior Advisor Derick Heng addresses guests in his opening keynote and talks about the Globe myBusiness Restaurant Business Network, a restaurant and café- specific business ecosystem designed to provide relevant services to companies in the food industry.

For her part, Mitch Peralta, Segment Marketing Head for Tourism and Hospitality of Globe myBusiness, said: “We want to ensure that restaurant owners get the right partners, tools, and knowledge to enhance their overall customer experience and be the perfect destination for their consumers.”

Held at the Maybank Theater in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City, the two-day event co-sponsored by Mercato Centrale, Startup Village, and Manila Workshops featured talks designed to provide new knowledge for attendees such as “Mission Fusion,” which discussed about partnering with various food businesses to create a more exciting, inter-linked food community.

“Branching Out,” on the other hand, focused on how to manage and expand the business while “Chalk Talk” was all about creating concepts that will draw in food enthusiasts and the everyday foodie/influencer. There was also a “Food Photography” session that tackled ways to make a food or restaurant ambience “Instagram-able” as it noted the importance of social media presence for businesses to thrive.  Finally, “Digital Digest” explained the tricks of the trade in utilizing mobile applications to make their functions easier and more efficient.

Late last year, Globe myBusiness partnered with Mercato Centrale to launch the Restaurant Business Network. The network provides restaurant and café owners access to relevant and timely workshops, events, and online material, with the hope of educating them about the latest learnings and advancements in the industry. The network also gives Globe myBusiness customers exclusive deals from network partners.
